Having a reliable and powerful motor is essential for commercial fishermen who rely on punts or small skiffs to reach their larger fishing vessels moored off the coast.

Garmin’s newly introduced Force Pro trolling motor is already making waves in the sportfishing world but could be just as beneficial for working fishermen navigating tight harbors, choppy waters, or shifting tides.

“Garmin Force has quickly become a trusted name in trolling motors for both professional and recreational anglers worldwide,” said Susan Lyman of Garmin.

One of the standout features of the Force Pro is the multi-band GPS anchor lock, which provides stability in strong currents or gusty winds. Whether you’re holding position near a mooring or a dock, this technology can keep smaller boats steady without constant adjustments, freeing up hands for lines or making a quick repair.

Another significant advantage is the reverse thrust capability. Instead of manually turning the motor to back out of a tight spot, you can shift into reverse. This function is handy when maneuvering through tight spaces.

The brushless motor delivers an impressive 100 pounds of thrust, making it well-suited for handling rough conditions before sunrise and when returning from a day's work. The high-efficiency design ensures long battery life, allowing fishermen to rely on it for multiple runs back and forth without worrying about running out of power.

For commercial fishermen looking for a durable, efficient, and precise way to maneuver their skiffs and punts in all conditions, the Force Pro could be a wise investment that saves time and effort daily. Although Garmin designed the product with sport fishermen in mind, this powerful trolling motor has the potential to be an asset in daily operations.
