The Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation (AFDF), in partnership
with the United Fishermen of Alaska (UFA), hosted a Legislative Reception in Juneau on February 18, bringing together seafood industry leaders, policymakers, and community members to celebrate the critical role of the seafood sector in the state’s economy and communities.
The event highlighted the winning products from the 2024 Alaska Symphony of Seafood competition, showcasing the creativity and dedication of those who bring Alaska seafood to tables worldwide.

More than just a celebration, the evening provided a platform for strengthening relationships across the industry—fostering connections among seafood innovators, policymakers, regional stakeholders, and the coastal communities that depend on a thriving seafood sector.
Guests enjoyed tastings of the award-winning products, along with a selection of Alaska seafood dishes, while engaging in conversations about the future of the industry.
