Mariners can also complete our training programs in lieu of USCG testing for credentialing. If you are beginning your maritime career, Clatsop is now a USCG Training Ship Program. Students who complete our Vessel Operations Associates Degree have all of the sea time needed to obtain or apply for an Able Seaman Special (AB-Special) or Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels Upon Near Coastal or Inland Waters (OUPV).
