The Indian Navy said it rescued 39 crew from a sinking Chinese fishing vessel in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), approximately 900 nautical miles from India, on May 17. The Navy also carried out multiple searches in inclement weather and located objects suspected to be parts of the sunken vessel.
