The 30th anniversary of the Homer Winter King Salmon Tournament is this Saturday, March 23 (weather permitting). This prestigious event has become the West Coast's premier fishing tournament. Over $200,000 in prize money is awarded yearly for the largest Kings caught, making it an unparalleled opportunity for fishermen.
Alongside the main event, side tournaments are offering additional chances to win cash prizes, and every hour brings exciting merchandise prize drawings. Since 2021, the champion fish has averaged an impressive $77,910 in total cash earnings. Join us for a day of thrilling competition and camaraderie.
The tournament committee has unveiled new protocols governing weather-related delays for the 2024 Tournament to enhance safety measures for participating anglers. Ensuring the safety of our anglers remains our paramount priority. The committee is committed to making well-informed determinations earlier in the tournament week, fostering a secure and enjoyable environment for all.
After the fishing lines are pulled from the water, join the festivities at the weigh-in stations by the Deep-Water Dock, located at 4667 Freight Dock Road. There will be live music, a beer & wine garden, food trucks, vendors, and some extra surprises as we celebrate our 30th anniversary.
